Water and electricity don't mix - and that's exactly why GFCI protection exists. We got called out to wire up two outdoor spaces that needed safe, reliable power: a she shed and a garden fountain. Simple enough on the surface, but the details matter a lot when you're dealing with outdoor installations.
For the she shed, we ran a weatherproof GFCI-protected receptacle right at the base of the structure. Low-profile, out of the way, and built to handle the moisture exposure that comes with an outdoor space like that. No extension cords running through doorways, no exposed connections. Just clean, safe power right where it's needed.
The fountain got the same treatment. A weatherproof GFCI outlet mounted at the base so the pump cord has a proper, protected place to plug in. That kind of setup trips automatically if it detects any fault in the current - which is critical when you've got a water feature involved. It's one of those things that seems small until it's the thing that saves you from a serious problem.
This is exactly the kind of wiring work we do every day. Outdoor receptacles, she sheds, garages, fountains, pergolas - anywhere you need power run safely and done to code. Our troubleshooting experience also means we can spot potential issues before they become real ones, whether that's a circuit that can't handle the load or a previous install that wasn't done right.
Outdoor spaces should be enjoyed without worrying about what's happening behind the outlet cover. Getting the electrical side handled correctly from the start is what makes that possible.
