Absolutely amazing company!! I didn’t understand why the power in one room of my house wasn’t coming back on after a power outage and instead of charging me he just explained that I actually had 2 breaker boxes (one inside my house, and the main one outside my house) and after I found the second (outside main) one he told me what to do and everything worked again. I am so appreciative of this company for just talking me through it and not charging me when the fix was so simple :)
We have been using this company for about 15 years at 2 different homes in Reno. They have always been professional and do good work. They arrive on time which is not always usual for many if these companies. Will definitely continue to use them.

DC Electrical did an excellent job installing our Tesla Wall Connector! Craig and Sean were professional, efficient, and detail-oriented—relocating breakers to free up space, running a 60-amp 240V circuit, and using 3/4" EMT conduit in the garage. They also accommodated my 6/3 wire upgrade for future-proofing. Clean, precise, and top-notch work. Highly recommend! ⚡🚗

Wow - I can't say enough good things about this company. I accidentally nicked a wire behind the wall trying to drill into a stud. After calling 5 different companies, the owner Craig of DC electric struck me right away as a straight shooter, and was legitimately looking out for my best interest in terms of pricing and tried to help me find the best solution. He even tried to explain how I could possibly just do the job myself and save myself the money of hiring an electrician. That alone said a lot about his credibility. I still didn't feel comfortable doing to the job myself, so they came out the very next day. Long story short - they did a great job and fixed the problem in the most cost effective manner. He gave me a very fair price. I was quoted twice as much from another company. I was so grateful I paid him a little more on top of what he asked - more as a tip. My wife and I saved his card and will definitely be using him for our next project we already have planned. Anybody reading this, do yourself a favor and skip the other companies. All they seemed to care about was charging me for what they could get away with. Craig acts with integrity, and he's great at his craft. Can't say enough about the great experience!!
I had finally grown tired of not having fans in our bathrooms (house was built in 1960 and codes didn't require them back then), so called around on a Wed. to find someone and after leaving msgs with 5 electricians, DC Electrical actually answered my call and was able to put me on the schedule for that Friday! Not only did they show up at 8:00 (our appt time), but they installed the fans and cleaned everything up in 2 hours! It's refreshing to discover there are still businesses out there who really take pride in their work.

Craig and Sean are incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. They alleviated an issue in our garage that had suddenly become a significant problem and were able to fix most everything in one visit. They quickly came up with an idea how to fix the remainder in a reasonably priced way and set up a return visit very quickly. With some other companies you may feel some hesitation with large projects, but they put me at ease immediately and I had no concerns through the whole process. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for electricians who are not only talented, but also care about their customers and community.
DCE responded to my request for a proposal and got me what I needed to evaluate my options quickly and the proposal was easy to evaluate. The day of the appointment they we on time (8 am) and finished very quickly. Clean-up was also excellent as dry wall needed to be cut and they left no trace of the work done. Upon leaving they were sure to acquaint me with everything they had done. I will definitely use DCE again.
I had Craig install a Tesla wall charger. We worked through the quoting process effectively through email (my preference), they showed up on time, worked fast and efficient, and explained everything. It was a great experience, and ill definitely call DC again for any electrician needs.

They were referred to me by a friend and she was right...a prompt, courteous reply to my initial inquiry,an amazing understanding of my needs, a promptly scheduled appointment, prompt arrival, and GREAT work. Craig is tops in my book; I wouldn't think of using anyone else in the future; in fact, I already have a small list of other things that I need done.
D C Electrical provides excellent service. I have used this firm on multiple occasion and they are nothing short of outstanding. The first time, it was a minor problem that the owner helped me solve at 8:00 pm on a Friday night over the phone. In another instance they helped me with fixing a problem I had with a GFI plug, the morning after I called. I will be using D C electrical for all of my needs in the future.
We had a socket and bathroom light not working. DC Electrical found out what was going on and fixed both problems. The electrician was knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend DC Electrical.

Several outlets went out while cooking dinner the other night, and resetting the breaker wasn’t working. We called D C Electrical this morning and they were in our home within an hour or so. The issue ended up being a combination of using too many appliances on an old circuit and a bad breaker. They replaced the breaker within a few minutes and also took a look at our bathroom outlets, which hadn’t worked since we bought our home in late 2018. All outlets in our are currently working, and we weren’t charged nearly as much as we anticipated! Thank you for getting the job done so quickly and providing awesome service!
Hey I called and spoke with a gentleman named Craig. I told him the problem I had and he walked me through it concerning the breaker box and just saved me $159+ dollars and a lot of headaches. When we moved into our house, we had them a bunch of things done -- an EV charger, a new electrical panel, new GFI installation, and a ceiling fan. A ceiling fan was particularly challenging as it's a high ceiling and the attic access was not easy, but they found a way! We just had them over for another series of electrical work, and realized that the last visit was over three years ago. The same crew, and they remembered us, all good sign. They are always on time (and if not, they will let you know), pleasant, accurate, honest, great communication, and the quality of work is excellent. We are discussing more projects, like electric water heater, etc in the future, and we wouldn't even think about contacting someone else. So glad we found D.C Electrical!

Recently purchased in the area and have had multiple electricians out to the home. So far Craig has been the most thorough in his assessment. Other outfits overlooked potential issues but Craig was able to find things that 'could' be remedied. That having been said he was also able to provide a balanced point of view concerning when and if I 'should' do certain things. He provided an itemized quote and did not even charge a call out. So far this has been the best experience in the area and I would definitely recommend Craig at DC electrical over the competition.

Detailed, timely, and professional. Craig worked closely to scope precise details regarding a 240V outlet in our garage for EV charging, and a standard 120V in the house. He proactively offered ideas for *reducing* cost, and worked directly w/ my landlord to ensure his approval. On day of service, he arrived at precisely 8am on a day with 1 foot of snow on the ground; shoveled a path to the working area; and finished within an hour, under budget. He kept me apprised of work throughout, and did a quick walk-through of the work to ensure satisfaction. Highly satisfied all around.

I'm a retired contractor and needed numerous electrical outlets, light boxes, pulling wire in new Master Bath (remodel), additional outlets and connections under the house and in the garage with running the wires from the meter panel. Had a camera and light installed on front porch. I know contracting and especially electrical work, I would use Craig again for additional electrical work. He and Shawn were easy to work with, I gave them a list of items on printed sheet, they got right to it and were done in less time than I had estimated. We are new to the area and had to rely on reviews and BBB ratings to find an electrician. Craig was very responsive on the phone and made several good suggestions based on our needs. We spoke with other contractors that made us feel like we were bothering them. Craig was right on time and did everything we needed in a businesslike manner. I had Craig and Sean install a Tesla charging outlet in my garage following a very positive recommendation from a neighbor. Mine was a slightly complicated job because of the location of the electrical panel on the outside of the house relative to where I wanted the outlet positioned in the garage. However the job was completed quickly and with a very high degree of professionalism. The end result was even more elegant than I had anticipated. While here the team also installed a series of dimmer switches throughout the house. All Good

We recently moved into a new home and needed all of our lighting fixtures installed. Craig and Sean were incredible to work with. Communication throughout the entire process was seamless, they are always on time, and just overall great people to work with. We since had 2 additional projects as well, and we won't work with anyone else on our electrical needs.
We had just bought a new home that was an older construction and wanted D C Electrical to install an EV car charger. As they assessed the existing electrical load (over a video call), we found many of the breaker labels to be faded or unclear. Craig and Sean came at my request to go through all of the breakers and subpanels. Then we scheduled for a visit for them to install a number of missing covers we found during inspection, a couple of additional outlets, and to install the wall charger. Once the other tasks were completed, Craig reviewed the load once again and decided to stop work so he could go back and do more detailed calculations. It turns out we didn't have the capacity to add a wall charger and his gut was correct. Despite knowing we wouldn't be able to have them back for the installation, he crated multiple load calculations to show what it might look like if we didn't have some of our other high load appliances anymore. I can't recommend them enough. Responsive, friendly, and knows their stuff!

I've always been a little concerned when calling for an electrician after getting burned (no pun intended). So I started checking reviews on Google and Yelp. Found DC Electrical on Google and they had some good reviews for quality, reliability and costs. Made the call and Craig called me back within a couple hours. We scheduled him to come out and check our GFI switches. He showed up right on time and had the work completed in 45 min. Even made some great suggestions for some future work that we are planning. I highly recommend DC Electrical for your electrical needs.
Beyond helpful call I've made. We bought a home in Augustus, all outlets were inspected - well almost all. The ones outside were not inspected and the backyard light. I called another location prior to here and they gave me the estimate of about 85 an hour, and we were looking at a two hour job. This placed called me back immediately after not answering and gave me the quickest and cheapest solution over the phone. I simply had to reset a button in the garage that is for the entire outside house. Once I did this, tested it out... and BOOM - all outside lights and backyard lights work. Thank you so much for your help Craig, and thank you even more for saving us about $170!

I am SO glad I called D C Electrical Inc. I had an issue where all of my external outlets went out. I looked at my breaker panel and tried to find maybe a GFI had gone out or something, but I couldn't figure it out. So I call these guys, I get Craig on the phone, I start to explain my issue and he figured it out right away ON THE PHONE and walked me through how to fix it without even charging me. He could easily have come out and charged me for a visit, but instead he just helped me out. I'm definitely calling D C for any future electrical needs!
Called to see how much it would cost me to get an electrician out soon to fix a circuit breaker. He was very booked and wouldn't be able to come for a week so went ahead and gave me really good advice on fixing it myself because it's a simple fix. Walked me through exactly what I need to do and I was able to fix the problem in 20 minutes (including the time to run to the store for the part) for $12.66 compared to $365 minimum that another electric company quoted me to come out today. I will use this company for all future needs and reccomend to everyone!

I have used D C Electrical for several years. They have installed ceiling fans, added un cabinet lighting, added outlets and ceiling lights, etc. They are quick, clean but a little pricey. I have learned a lot from them throughout the years. I appreciate all of their services.

We had an electrical issue come up and had called another well known company who basically told us the job wasn't profitable enough for them to waste their time. Saw DC Electrical had great reviews and called them and they were more than willing to help us. Would highly recommend!!!
These guys were on time and even asked to come early, which was fine by me. I had what I thought was a breaker issue that they did some troubleshooting and found the real cause and fixed the problem. They did some ad hoc fixes for me as well since they were in the house, I took the opportunity to get some other electrical quirks fixed. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

DC Electrical saved me. I had a problem with the circuit that runs my fridge and the rest of my kitchen. Of course the problem happened late at night, so I needed to find someone to help me first thing in the morning. Curtis answered my call very early in the morning. I was back up and running by noon! Very professional and explained everything I needed. I felt very comfortable with the recommendations I was given. I would highly recommend DC Electrical!
Craig was great and open and honest from the beginning. Very reasonably priced. He has a great crew who arrived on time and did a thorough job. Best part was that I had originally planned for several holes that would need to be patched and painted, but didn't need any patching due to his team's precise work.
